Welcome to Land & Orchard Worx NZ! My name is Rusty and along with my team we'd be stoked to have the opportunity to work on your upcoming land or orchard project.
My journey began as a Flock House trainee back in 1985. Over the past 30+ years I've honed my craft across New Zealand and Australia, specialising in agricultural and horticultural ventures. With over three decades of experience and a skilled team to boot, we bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project we undertake. At Land & Orchard Worx NZ, we take pride in delivering exceptional results, consistently achieving high output and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Our forte lies in managing large-scale projects, an area where we've proven our capabilities time and time again. Among our recent highlights is our collaboration with the avocado industry in the Far North. We've had the privilege of contributing to the success of some of the largest avocado orchards in New Zealand through our work in irrigation and artificial shelter installations.

David Reeves – Consultant
Dave has a Bachelor of Horticultural Science from Lincoln, with over 40 years of hands on experience in the horticulture and infrastructure industries, working in a range of sectors.
Commercial vegetable growing, cropping, orchard management, nursery systems, greenhouse construction, irrigation design, automation and installation. He has been involved in some of New Zealand’s largest primary industry projects.
For the past eight years, he has been a critical part of the team. He has a passion for improving production systems, and gets huge satisfaction from completing large scale projects on time and on budget.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
Rusty and his team worked for me over a 5-year period as key members of our contractor work force developing 400 ha of ex Far North dairy farm into new generation intensively planted avocado trees.
During that time Rusty was instrumental in the install of most of the individual tree irrigation along with overhead frost systems plus headworks construction, computer control systems and under ground services such as main lines, cabling and sub mains.
In addition Rusty was also involved in the construction of our artificial shelter systems which included posts and stay installation and erection of wind break cloth.
Recently Rusty also assisted with the development of a further 10 ha of intensively planted avocado plantings in Te Kopuru, at that time Rusty constructed all artificial shelter and was involved in site preparation ready for planting.
Over that time I have found Rusty easy to work with, good communicator and very well organised. His crew were always courteous and certainly put the effort in when working to strict timelines.
Workmanship was generally good along technical expertise and good skill sets.
